Our Mission

Grundy County Historical Society & Museum aims to preserve historical relics and create inspiring educational opportunities throughout the lifespans of North Central Missouri citizens. Exhibits feature unique and ordinary, with notable and exemplary holdings, enabling visitors to consider history that informs the future. The museum features stories around artifacts and collections, encouraging visitors to think about experiences predecessors enjoyed, survived, or endured together through work, worship, recreation, governance, education, service, and creative expression.

Board of Directors

The Grundy County Museum is a non-profit, privately funded institution committed to preserving the history of Grundy County. This museum operates without any paid staff, and the Board of Directors serves on a voluntary basis. The museum's operations are funded entirely through support from contributors, investment income, and fees collected from visitors.
